Al-Qamar 3 of 3
And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a great multitude, and we shall be victorious?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay; the Hour of Doom is their appointed time, and the Hour shall be more calamitous and bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And verily We have destroyed your fellows; but is there any that remembereth? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
