And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 The evil-doers are victims of error and madness. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 [They were truly guilty] because all [the evil] that they ever did had been [revealed to them as such] in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom; 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 The God-conscious will find themselves in gardens and rivers, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
