And We created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose! That is the consideration of those who disbelieve! Then woe to those who disbelieve (in Islamic Monotheism) from the Fire! 27 Or should we treat those who believe and do righteous deeds like corrupters in the land? Or should We treat those who fear Allah like the wicked? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 We granted Solomon to David, a blessed servant of Ours and certainly the most repentant person. 30 And when one evening well-trained and running horses of noble breed were brought to him 31 And he said: "Alas! I did love the good (these horses) instead of remembering my Lord (in my 'Asr prayer)" till the time was over, and (the sun) had hidden in the veil (of night). 32 He said, "Bring them back to me." Then he started to rub their legs and necks. 33 We tested Solomon by (causing death to his son) and leaving his body on Solomon's chair. Then he turned to Us in repentance, 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 We subjected the wind to him, so that it blew gently at his bidding, wherever he directed it, 36 As also the evil ones, (including) every kind of builder and diver,- 37 And others linked together in chains, 38 “This is Our bestowal – you may therefore bestow favours or withhold them – you will not be questioned.” 39 And he had a near place in Our presence and a fair resort. 40
