▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 How can you regard this discourse with disdain? 81 Do you make its denial your means of livelihood? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 And ye are at that moment looking 84 But We are nearer to him than ye, and yet see not,- 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 Then (the greeting) "Peace be unto thee" from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 Then his reception is the hot boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
