▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 preserved in a hidden Book which 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 if you are not subject to anyone's authority, 86 Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful? 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 He will burn in Hell. 94 This is indeed an utmost certainty. 95 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 96
