Say, "Lord, if you will afflict them with punishment, 93 then do not place me, Lord, with the wrongdoers." 94 Surely We are able to show you what We warn them against. 95 Repel thou the evil with that which is fairer. We Ourselves know very well that they describe. 96 And say thou: my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee against the whisperings of the satans. 97 I seek your protection should they approach me." 98 [AS FOR THOSE who will not believe in the life to come, they go on lying to themselves] until, when death approaches any of them, he prays: "O my Sustainer! Let me return, let me return [to life,] 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 For when the Trumpet is blown, that day there shall be no kinship any more between them, neither will they question one another. 101 Then, those whose scales (of good deeds) are heavy, - these, they are the successful. 102 And he whose balances shall be light - these are they who have lost themselves; in Hell they are abiders. 103 Their faces will be scorched by flames, and they will grin and scowl within it. 104 "Were not My Signs rehearsed to you, and ye did but treat them as falsehood?" 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 O our Lord! Take us out of it; then if we return (to evil) surely we shall be unjust. 107 He will say: 'Slink there in it and do not speak to Me' 108 There was a group of my servants among you who always prayed: Lord, forgive us and grant us mercy; You are the best of those who show mercy. 109 But you took them for laughingstock, mocking at them, until they caused you to forget My remembrance. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 He shall say, 'How long have you tarried in the earth, by number of years?' 112 They shall say, 'We have tarried a day, or part of a day; ask the numberers!' 113 [Whereupon] He will say: "You have spent there but a short while: had you but known [how short it was to be]! 114 Do you think We created you for nothing, and that you will not return to Us?" 115 Therefore exalted be Allah, the King, the Reality: there is no god but He, the Lord of the Throne of Honour! 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 Say, "Lord, forgive us and have mercy. You are the best of those who show mercy." 118
