▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 If it is of the people of the right hand, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then the welcome will be boiling water 93 and the heat of hell fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
