But nay, I swear by all that you can see 38 And by oath of those you do not see. 39 that this is the speech of a noble Messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet little do you believe 41 Nor the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you mind. 42 A sending down from the Lord of all Being. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand; 45 then, We would surely have cut from him the aorta (vein) 46 Nor could any of you withhold him (from Our wrath). 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 But truly (Revelation) is a cause of sorrow for the Unbelievers. 50 it is the indubitable truth. 51 Therefore-glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 52
