The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas are set on fire, 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 And when the pages are made public 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hell-fire shall be kindled to fierce ablaze. 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Go straight, or hide; 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 This is indeed the recitation of an honoured Noble Messenger. (Angel Jibreel peace and blessings be upon him.) 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither then will you go? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
