The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 by the Promised Day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 [Containing] the fire full of fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they themselves are witnesses to what they were doing to the Muslims! 7 Against these they had no grudge except that they believed in Allah, the Most Mighty, the Most Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. God is witness over all things. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 VERILY, thy Sustainer's grip is exceedingly strong! 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer of what He will. 16 Hath there come unto thee the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
