The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
And by the sun and its brightness; 1 And the moon when it follows the sun, 2 by the day, when it displays it, 3 by the night when it covers the earth with darkness, 4 And by oath of the heaven and by oath of Him Who made it. 5 and by the earth and That which extended it! 6 The soul and how it was integrated 7 and imbued it with (the consciousness of) its evil and its piety: 8 Indeed he succeeds who purifies his ownself (i.e. obeys and performs all that Allah ordered, by following the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism and by doing righteous good deeds). 9 And he fails that corrupts it! 10 The people of Thamud rejected (the truth) as a result of their rebelliousness 11 when that most hapless wretch from among them rushed forward [to commit his evil deed,] 12 And the messenger of Allah [Salih] said to them, "[Do not harm] the she-camel of Allah or [prevent her from] her drink." 13 But they gave him the lie, and cruelly slaughtered her - whereupon their Sustainer visited them with utter destruction for this their sin, destroying them all alike: 14 And He fears not its consequence. 15

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
