The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 And [by] the day when it appears 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 We shall facilitate the path to bliss 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will ease him toward ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 and rejects what is right, 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 And his riches will not avail him when he falls headlong (into the Abyss). 11 Surely upon Us rests the guidance, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who gives the lie (to the truth) and turns (his) back. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 Who giveth away his substance that he may be cleansed, 18 and owes no favour to anyone, which is to be repaid, 19 Other than seeking the glory of his Lord, most high, 20 and the reward (of their Lord) will certainly make them happy. 21
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
