The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by the shaking thereof, 1 And the earth discharges its burdens 2 And man cries (distressed): 'What is the matter with her?'- 3 That day she will relate her chronicles, 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 and whosoever has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
