Al-Zalzalah

The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken with its appointed tremor. 1 And when the earth throws out its burdens, 2 and the human asks: "What is the matter with it?" 3 On that Day it shall proclaim its news, 4 as thy Sustainer will have inspired her to do! 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 and whoso has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 And whoever does an evil deed equal to the weight of the minutest particle, will see it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
