The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the snorting courses, 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Does he not then know when what is in the graves is raised, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
