Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 and so too will his wife who (threw thorns and firewood in the Prophet's way). 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
