۞ It is He Who has created you from a single person (Adam), and (then) He has created from him his wife [Hawwa (Eve)], in order that he might enjoy the pleasure of living with her. When he had sexual relation with her, she became pregnant and she carried it about lightly. Then when it became heavy, they both invoked Allah, their Lord (saying): "If You give us a Salih (good in every aspect) child, we shall indeed be among the grateful." 189 But when He gave them a Salih (good in every aspect) child, they ascribed partners to Him (Allah) in that which He has given to them. High be Allah, Exalted above all that they ascribe as partners to Him. (Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 9, Page 148). 190 What! they associate (with Him) that which does not create any thing, while they are themselves created! 191 They can give them no help, nor can they help themselves. 192 And if you call them to guidance, they follow you not. It is the same for you whether you call them or you keep silent. 193 Verily, all those whom you invoke beside God are but created beings like yourselves: invoke them, then, and let them answer your prayer - if what you claim is true! 194 Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite! 195 Surely my guardian is Allah, Who revealed the Book, and He befriends the good. 196 And those whom you call upon besides Him are not able to help you, nor can they help themselves. 197 And if you call them to guidance they do not listen; and you (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) observe them looking towards you, whereas they do not perceive anything. 198 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) adopt forgiveness, and enjoin virtue, and turn away from the ignorant. 199 If a provocation from Satan should provoke thee, seek refuge in God; He is All-hearing, All-seeing. 200 Verily those who fear God think of Him when assailed by the instigations of Satan, and lo! they begin to understand, 201 and their brothers they lead on into error, then they stop not short. 202 And when thou bringest not a verse for them they say: Why hast thou not chosen it? Say: I follow only that which is inspired in me from my Lord. This (Qur'an) is insight from your Lord, and a guidance and a mercy for a people that believe. 203 When the Koran is recited, listen to it in silence in order that Allah has mercy upon you. 204 And remember thou thy Lord within thyself with humility and fear, without loudness in word, in the morning and evenings; and be thou not of the negligent. 205 [The angels] who are near to Your Lord, never turn away from His service out of arrogance; they rather glorify Him and prostrate themselves before Him. ۩ 206
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
