Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain, the Mighty, the Forgiver. 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 “I receive only the divine revelations, that I am purely a clear Herald of Warning.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 Then the angels bowed themselves all together, 73 except Iblis who puffed himself up with pride and became a disbeliever. 74 [Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said, "My Lord, then reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 Said he, 'Now, by Thy glory, I shall pervert them all together, 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 (Allah) said: "The Truth is, and the Truth I say, 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 SAY [O Prophet]: "No reward whatever do I ask of you for this [message]; and I am not one of those who claim to be what they are not. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
