Then when the sent ones entered unto the household of Lut. 61 He said: Surely you are an unknown people. 62 They said, "No, but we bring you news about what they disputed, 63 And we have come to you with the truth, and we are most surely truthful. 64 So travel with thy household in a portion of the night, and follow thou their backs. Let none of you turn round, but go whither ye are commanded. 65 And We decreed unto him this commandment because the last of those was to be cut off in the early morning. 66 And the people of the city came rejoicing. 67 Exclaimed [Lot]: "Behold, these are my guests: so put me not to shame, 68 and fear God, and do not degrade me.' 69 They said: Have we not forbidden you from (other) people? 70 He said: these are my daughters, if act ye must. 71 By your life, (O Prophet), they went about blindly stumbling in their intoxication. 72 So the rumbling overtook them (while) entering upon the time of sunrise; 73 We turned the town upside-down and showered on them lumps of baked clay. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 And indeed, those cities are [situated] on an established road. 76 Behold! in this is a sign for those who believed. 77 The dwellers of the Wood (near Midian) were also wicked. 78 So We took vengeance on them. And verily both are on a high-road open. 79
