People of Hijr rejected the Messengers. 80 And we gave them Our revelations, but they were averse to them. 81 And they hewed houses in the mountains in security. 82 But the (Awful) Cry overtook them at the morning hour, 83 that they earned did not avail them. 84 We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom. The Hour is surely coming. So overlook [their faults] with gracious forgiveness. 85 verily, thy Sustainer is the all-knowing Creator of all things! 86 We have indeed bestowed on you the seven oft-repeated verses and the Great Qur'an. 87 Do not stretch your eyes to that We have given pairs of them to enjoy, nor sorrow for them, and lower your wing to the believers. 88 And say: "I am indeed he that warneth openly and without ambiguity,"- 89 such as We send down for those who are divisive, 90 who have broken the Koran into parts, 91 so by your Lord, We will question them all 92 for what they have done 93 Preach what you have been commanded to and stay away from the pagans. 94 Indeed We suffice you against these mockers. 95 and those who set up other gods with Allah, indeed, they will soon know. 96 We do indeed know how thy heart is distressed at what they say. 97 Glorify and praise your Lord and be with those who prostrate themselves before God. 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
