The person endowed with faith said: “My people, follow me; I shall direct you to the Path of Rectitude. 38 O my people, surely this present life is but a passing enjoyment; surely the world to come is the abode of stability. 39 Whoever does evil will be requited in accordance with it; but whoever does right, whether man or woman, and is a believer, will enter Paradise, where they will have provision in abundance. 40 ۞ And, O my people! how is it that I call you to salvation and you call me to the fire? 41 "Ye do call upon me to blaspheme against Allah, and to join with Him partners of whom I have no knowledge; and I call you to the Exalted in Power, Who forgives again and again!" 42 Assuredly that whereunto ye call me hath no claim in the world or in the Hereafter, and our return will be unto Allah, and the prodigals will be owners of the Fire. 43 So you shall remember what I say to you, and I entrust my affair to Allah, Surely Allah sees the servants. 44 Therefore Allah saved him from the evils of their scheming, and an evil punishment enveloped the people of Firaun. – 45 The fire; they shall be brought before it (every) morning and evening and on the day when the hour shall come to pass: Make Firon's people enter the severest chastisement. 46 And when they shall contend one with another in the fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud: Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire? 47 The ones who had dominated them will say, "All of us are now in hell. God has already issued His Judgment of His servants (and no one can change this)." 48 And those who are in the Fire will say to the keepers of Gehenna, 'Call on your Lord, to lighten for us one day of the chastisement!' 49 They shall say, 'Did not your Messengers bring you the clear signs?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed.' They shall say, 'Then do you call!' But the calling of the unbelievers is only in error. 50
