The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High, 1 Who created all things and fashioned them in good proportion; 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 except what Allah should wish. He knows all that is manifest and all that is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the wretched will turn away from it. 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who has cleansed himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 However, (the disbelievers) prefer the worldly life 16 While the Hereafter is better and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
