Pilgrimage (Al-Hajj)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Light (Al-Noor) before The Hypocrites (Al-Munaafeqoon)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Mankind! fear your Lord; verily the quake of the Hour shall be a thing mighty. 1 On the day when ye behold it, every nursing mother will forget her nursling and every pregnant one will be delivered of her burden, and thou (Muhammad) wilt see mankind as drunken, yet they will not be drunken, but the Doom of Allah will be strong (upon them). 2 And yet among men there are such as dispute about Allah, without knowledge, and follow every evil one obstinate in rebellion! 3 about which it has been decreed that whoever entrusts himself to it, him will it lead astray and guide towards the suffering of the blazing flame! 4 O people! If you are in doubt about the Resurrection, remember that We first created you from dust, then from a sperm drop, then from clotted blood, then a lump of flesh, both shaped and unshaped, so that We might manifest to you [Our power]. We cause what We will to stay in the womb for an appointed time, then We bring you forth as infants and then We cause you to grow and reach full growth. Then, some of you will pass away early in life, while some of you will reach extreme old age in which they will know nothing of what they once knew. You see the earth, dead and barren, but no sooner do We send down rain upon it than it begins to stir and swell, and produce every kind of luxuriant vegetation: 5 That is because Allah is the Truth; He revives the dead and has power over all things. 6 And because the Last Day will come, there is no doubt in it and because Allah will revive those who are in the graves. 7 And there is one who argues concerning Allah without having knowledge nor any proof nor a clear text. 8 They turn away (from the Truth) to lead people away from the path of God. Their share in this world will be disgrace and on the Day of Judgment a burning torment. 9 That is the outcome of what your own hands have wrought, for Allah never wrongs His creatures. 10

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
