The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Certainly will the believers have succeeded: 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who keep aloof from what is vain, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except from their wives and women slaves of old are free of blame, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 and who are faithful to their trusts and to their pledges, 8 And who guard their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Who shall inherit the Firdaus (Paradise). They shall dwell therein forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then indeed, after that you are to die. 15 and then, behold! you shall be raised from the dead on Resurrection Day. 16 And indeed, We have created above you seven [celestial] orbits: and never are We unmindful of [any aspect of Our] creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 With it, We produced for you gardens of palms and vines, yielding abundant fruit for you to eat. 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 And indeed, for you in livestock is a lesson. We give you drink from that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are numerous benefits, and from them you eat. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
