When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Replied [Moses]: "I committed it while I was still going astray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: "And who is this Lord of the Universe?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 (Pharaoh) said: "If thou dost put forward any god other than me, I will certainly put thee in prison!" 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 Said Firaun, “Then bring it, if you are of the truthful.” 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
