Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? 1 [Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled, 2 labouring, toilworn, 3 Burning in the scorching fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 With their endeavour well pleased. 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech. 11 Therein is a fountain flowing, 12 Wherein are couches raised 13 and goblets laid out, 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets outspread. 16 So do they not see the camel - how it has been created? 17 And the heaven - how it has been raised? 18 And at the mountains, how firmly they are reared? 19 And the earth, how it is spread? 20 So remind them (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)), you are only a one who reminds. 21 You are not a warden over them, 22 Except whoever turns away and disbelieves - 23 Allah will punish him with a mighty Punishment, 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
