The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And those who guard their chastity (i.e. private parts, from illegal sexual acts) 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are the transgressors; 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 Those are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 and then We cause him to remain as a drop of sperm in [the wombs] firm keeping, 13 and then We create out of the drop of sperm a germ-cell, and then We create out of the germ-cell an embryonic lump, and then We create within the embryonic lump bones, and then We clothe the bones with flesh - and then We bring [all] this into being as a new creation: hallowed, therefore, is God, the best of artisans! 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then surely on the day of resurrection you shall be raised. 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 We sent down water from the sky in due measure, and lodged it in the earth, and We are able to take it all away. 18 Then We cause to grow thereby gardens of palm trees and grapes for you; you have in them many fruits and from them do you eat; 19 And created the tree that comes forth from Mount Sinai – that grows containing oil and curry for the eaters. 20 You have a lesson in livestock. We provide you with drink from what is in their bellies, and you have many other benefits from them; some of them you eat, 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
