Say: "O my Lord! if Thou wilt show me (in my lifetime) that which they are warned against,- 93 My Lord! then place me not with the unjust. 94 And most surely We are well able to make you see what We threaten them with. 95 Repel evil by what is best; We know best what they describe. 96 Say, "Lord, I seek your protection against the strong temptations of the devils. 97 “And my Lord, (I seek) Your refuge from their coming to me.” 98 Until, when death comes to one of them he says: 'My Lord, let me go back, 99 that I have left behind. I am likely to do good." Nay, it is merely a word that he is uttering. There is a barrier behind all of them (who are dead) until the Day when they will be raised up. 100 There will be no kindred relations nor any opportunity to ask about others or seek their assistance after the trumpet has sounded. 101 Then he whose scales are heavy -- they are the prosperers, 102 And as for him whose good deeds are light, these are they who shall have lost their souls, abiding in hell 103 The fire will scorch their faces and they will be groaning therein in pain. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: our Lord! our wretchedness overcame us, and we have been a people erring. 106 Our Lord, bring us out of it. If we return (to sin), then we shall indeed be harmdoers' 107 God will say, "Stay there and do not speak to Me. 108 There was a section among My creatures that said: 'O Lord, we believe. Forgive us and have mercy upon us, for You are the best of the merciful.' 109 But you ridiculed them. So much so that out of (spite) for them you forgot to remember Me and laughed at them. 110 I have rewarded them this Day for their steadfastness, and it is they who have triumphed." 111 [Allah] will say, "How long did you remain on earth in number of years?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 Deem ye that We have created you in vain and that unto Us ye are not to be returned? 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 And whosoever calleth, along with Allah, unto god, of whom he hath no warranty, then his reckoning is only with his Lord; verily thrive will not the infidels. 117 And (O Muhammad) say: My Lord! Forgive and have mercy, for Thou art Best of all who show mercy. 118
