The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 107 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, 'Shall we believe thee, whom the vilest follow?' 111 He said: "It is not for me to know what they were doing. 112 Their account is only upon my Lord, if you [could] perceive. 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 "I am sent only to warn plainly in public." 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 Therefor judge Thou between us, a (conclusive) judgment, and save me and those believers who are with me. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then We drowned the rest thereafter. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
