The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. 107 So fear Allah and obey me. 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 so fear God and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, "What knowledge do I have of their doings? 112 Their reckoning is upon my Lord, if ye but knew. 113 "And I am not going to drive away the believers. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will be stoned." 116 Then Noah said, "Lord, my people have rejected me. 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 Wherefore We delivered him and those with him in the laden ark. 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 In this [story,] behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 121 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 122
