The prople of Lout (Lot) (those dwelt in the towns of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them: "Will you not take heed? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 leaving your wives that your Lord created for you? Nay, but you are a people of transgressors. 166 They said: If you desist not, O Lut! you shall surely be of those who are expelled. 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 My Lord, deliver me and my people from that they do.' 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 save an old woman among those that tarried; 171 Then We destroyed the others. 172 and rained down upon them a rain [of destruction]: and dire is such rain upon all who let themselves be warned [to no avail]! 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might Most Merciful. 175
