Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were promised this before, and so were our fathers. It is but the fictitious story of the ancients' 68 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how was the end of the criminals." 69 And grieve not for them and be not distressed because of what they plan. 70 They ask, "When the Day of Judgment will come, if it is true at all?" 71 say thou: "It may well be that something of that which [in your ignorance] you so hastily demand has already drawn close unto you." 72 Lo! thy Lord is full of bounty for mankind, but most of them do not give thanks. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 And there is nothing concealed within the heaven and the earth except that it is in a clear Register. 75 Surely, this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that which they are at variance. 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 Verily, [O believer,] thy Sustainer will judge between them in His wisdom - for He alone is almighty, all-knowing. 78 Therefore rely on Allah; you are indeed upon the clear Truth. 79 Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating. 80 nor can you guide the blind out of their error. You can make only those hear you who believe in Our revelations and surrender themselves to Us. 81 ۞ And when the Word (promise) appears upon them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth to speak to them – because the people were not accepting faith in Our signs. (This beast will rise from the earth, when the Last Day draws near.) 82
