Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
