And We delivered the Children of Israel from the shameful doom; 30 From Firon; surely he was haughty, (and) one of the extravagant. 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge above the nations (of their time). 32 and gave them signs wherein there was a manifest trial. 33 Yet those who deny the truth say, 34 "That [which is ahead of us] is but our first [and only] death, and we shall not be raised to life again. 35 Bring back to us our fathers if you are truthful.” 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba' and those before them whom We destroyed? They were surely sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, in play. 38 We created them not save with truth; but most of them know not. 39 Truly, the Day of Decision is the appointed time for all of them, 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 Except such as receive Allah's Mercy: for He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 42
