Q (Qaaf)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Qaf. [These letters (Qaf, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the Glorious Quran. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 In fact, they have rejected the truth that has come to them, thus, they live in confusion. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 (Have they not seen) how We have spread out the earth, placed on it firm mountains and have made all kinds of flourishing pairs of plants grow? 7 Giving insight and a reminder for every servant who turns [to Allah]. 8 and We have sent down from the sky blessed water with which We have brought forth gardens and grain to be harvested, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 Provision (made) for men; and therewith We quicken a dead land. Even so will be the resurrection of the dead. 11 In the past Noah's people, and the people of Rass and Thamud gave the lie (to Messengers), 12 And 'Ad, and Fir'aun (Pharaoh), and the brethren of Lout (Lot), 13 and the people of Aykah, and the people of Tubba'. They all gave the lie to the Messengers. Thereafter My threat of chastisement against them was fulfilled. 14 What, were We wearied by the first creation? No, indeed; yet they are in doubt about a new creation. 15
