(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
