The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55
