Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 till you reached the grave. 2 But you will soon come to know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 You would see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
