Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure. 34 Shall We then treat the People of Faith like the People of Sin? 35 What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge? 36 Or have you a Book in which you read 37 That you can surely have whatever you choose? 38 Do you have a covenant with Us which allows you to do whatever you want until the Day of Judgment? 39 Ask thou of them, which of them will stand surety for that! 40 Or have they other gods? Then let them bring their other gods if they are truthful 41 On the day when there shall be a severe affliction, and they shall be called upon to make obeisance, but they shall not be able, 42 Their eyes will be humbled, and humiliation shall spread over them for they were already ordered to prostrate themselves when they were undiminished. 43 Let Me alone with him who belieth this discourse; step by step We lead them on when they perceive not. 44 Yet I will give them respite: Surely My plan is compact. 45 Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 46 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 47 Wait patiently for your Lord's judgement; do not be like the man who, having been swallowed by a whale, called out in distress. 48 Had not a Grace from his Lord reached him, he would indeed have been (left in the stomach of the fish, but We forgave him), so he was cast off on the naked shore, while he was to be blamed. 49 Then his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous. 50 And those who disbelieve would almost smite you with their eyes when they hear the reminder, and they say: Most surely he is mad. 51 Whilst it is no more than reminder for the people of the world. 52
