Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And verily of his sect was Ibrahim. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 And he turned upon them a blow with [his] right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 "Why do you worship these you carve yourselves," he asked, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 So when they both submitted and he threw him down upon his forehead, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We perpetuated (praise) to him among the later generations. 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
