The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 and those that blow gently, 2 by the swimmers (angels) swimming gently 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 (Some) hearts that Day will shake with fear and anxiety. 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 But it shall be only a single scare, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Has Moses' story reached you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 And let me guide you to your Lord so you would fear [Him]?'" 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
