Are you the harder to create or the heaven? He made it. 27 He raised its ceiling and proportioned it. 28 And He darkened its night and extracted its brightness. 29 and thereafter spread out the earth, 30 and brought out of it its water and its pasture, 31 and making the mountains firm: 32 (To be) a provision and benefit for you and your cattle. 33 When the great over-whelming event arrives, 34 The day when man will call to mind his (whole) endeavour, 35 And Hellfire will be exposed for [all] those who see - 36 anyone who has acted arrogantly 37 And who preferred the life of the world, 38 Then indeed hell only is his destination. 39 But unto him who shall have stood in fear of his Sustainer's Presence, and held back his inner self from base desires, 40 Then surely the garden-- that is the abode. 41 They (the disbelievers) ask you regarding the Last Day, as to when is its appointed time. 42 But how are you to know? 43 Unto thy Lord is the Knowledge of the limit fixed therefor. 44 You are only a warner for those who fear such a day. 45 It will be, on the Day they see it, as though they had not remained [in the world] except for an afternoon or a morning thereof. 46
