The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 There is no soul but that it has over it a protector. 4 Let man consider what he was made of: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 issuing between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 Most surely He is able to return him (to life). 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 and by the earth ever bursting with verdure, 12 Indeed the Qur’an is a decisive Word. 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
