The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 and who brings forth herbage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Unless God may please. He knows the visible and knows what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 But the wretched one will avoid it - 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 wherein they will neither live nor die. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And remembereth the name of his Lord, so prayeth, 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Surely this is in the ancient scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
