Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

The craving for excess wealth kept you people neglectful. 1 till you reached the grave. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 No! If you only knew with knowledge of certainty... 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 Then, on that day, ye will be asked concerning pleasure. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
