'Lord, open my breast,' said Moses, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue, 27 That they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me, from my household, someone who will help me bear my burden - 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Strengthen me through him, 31 and let him share my task, 32 so that [together] we might abundantly extol Thy limitless glory 33 and remember Thee without cease! 34 You are surely seeing us' 35 [Allah] said, "You have been granted your request, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 “When We inspired in your mother’s heart whatever was to be inspired.” 38 'Put the baby into a chest and then throw him in the river. The river will throw him up on the shore, and then an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his will take him.' And I spread My love over you in order that you might be reared in My sight. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I have chosen you for Myself: 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress." 45 The Lord replied them, "Do not be afraid; I Am with you all the time, listening and seeing." 46 “Therefore go to him and say, ‘We are the sent ones of your Lord, therefore let the Descendants of Israel go with us, and do not trouble them; we have indeed brought to you a sign from your Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance.’ 47 It has been revealed to us that punishment will befall him who denies and turns away. 48 The Pharaoh asked them, "Who is your Lord?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He said: then what happened to the former generations? 51 Musa said: the knowledge thereof is with my Lord in the Book; my Lord erreth not, nor He forgetteth. 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 You eat and let your cattle graze' Surely, in this there are signs for those of understanding. 54
