Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Upon her neck a halter of strongly twisted rope. 5
