Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven shall be cleft, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are flowed out, 3 And when the graves are ransacked, 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 O man! What hath made thee careless concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 And yet, verily, there are ever-watchful forces over you, 10 Generous and recording, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Verily, the Abrar (pious and righteous) will be in delight (Paradise); 13 and the wicked shall be in the Blazing Fire. 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 to burn therein. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again would that you only knew how terrible it really is! 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
