And beware a Day whereon We will raise up from each community a witness, then those who have disbelieved will not be given leave, nor they will be permitted to please Allah. 84 And when the wicked shall face the torment it will not be decreased, nor will they be reprieved. 85 And when they who were wont to ascribe divinity to beings other than God behold [on Judgment Day] those beings to whom they were wont to ascribe a share in His divinity, they will exclaim: "O our Sustainer! These are the beings to whom we ascribed a share in Thy divinity, and whom we were wont to invoke instead of Thee!" - whereupon [those beings] will fling at them the retort: "Behold, you have indeed been lying [to yourselves]!" 86 And they will offer (their full) submission to Allah (Alone) on that Day, and their invented false deities [all that they used to invoke besides Allah, e.g. idols, saints, priests, monks, angels, jinns, Jibrael (Gabriel), Messengers, etc.] will vanish from them. 87 The disbelievers who had created obstacles in the way leading to God will face manifold torments as a result of their evil deeds. 88 The Day will come when We raise up in every people a witness against them from amongst themselves, and We will bring you as a witness against these people. We have sent down the Book to you to make everything clear, a guidance, and a mercy, and glad tidings for those who submit to God. 89
