Moses said, "Lord, grant me courage. 25 And make my affair easy to me, 26 "And remove the impediment from my speech, 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 and appoint for me a helper from among my family, 29 Haroun, my brother, 30 "Increase my strength with him, 31 and let him share my task 32 so that we exalt You 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 He said: Thou art granted thy request, O Moses. 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 when We revealed what was to be made known to your mother, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 I have chosen thee for My service; 41 Go you and your brother with My communications and be not remiss in remembering Me; 42 Then go to the Pharaoh as he has become exceedingly rebellious. 43 But speak unto him in a mild manner, so that he might bethink himself or [at least] be filled with apprehension. 44 They said, "Lord, we are afraid of his transgression and rebellion against us". 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 it has been revealed to us that punishment shall overtake him who rejects it and turns away!'" 48 He said: who is the Lord of you twain, O Musa! 49 He said: "Our Lord is He Who gave everything its form and then guided it." 50 (Pharaoh) said: "What then is the condition of previous generations?" 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 Who hath appointed for you the earth as a bed, and hath opened for you therein pathways, and hath sent down from the heaven water, and thereby We have brought forth kinds of plants, various. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
